Hound About Town is a small friendly company run by myself, Alanna. I provide exclusive, professional pet care in Ruislip, Northwood, Northwood Hills, Eastcote and Pinner. I am an accredited dog trainer and offer 1-2-1 dog walks, group walks, training walks and pet sitting in the comfort of your own home.

I have been dog walking professionally since 2016 and I absolutely love it! I offer dog walks (both solo and group walks) in Ruislip, Ruislip Manor, Ruislip Gardens, Northwood, Northwood Hills, and Pinner as well as slightly further afield. I focus mostly on giving an individualised personal experience to your pet. Groups walks are kept small and dogs are matched by personality and size and catered towards what your dog wants to do. Huge pack walks and hoards of dogs taking off in all directions is really not my thing!

Solo walks are ideal for dogs who may be nervous or aggressive around other dogs or for older dogs who need to take things at their own pace. Group walks are great for friendly dogs who enjoy the company of others or younger dogs who are keen to get out and about and meet the world! I also offer a walk and train service, which is ideal for rehabilitating dogs who may be reactive or just for gaining a solid level of obedience while out and about.

I have over 16 years experience in caring for dogs, I am also experienced with horses, cats and small animals. I am fully insured and CRB checked and I have a canine first aid qualification, a level 3 qualification in “The principles of dog training and behaviour” and I am a member of the IMDT. I have previously volunteered as an assistant trainer with the Dogs Trust which was very enjoyable and currently assist a local behaviourist and really enjoy shadowing some of her cases.
