Hi, My name’s David Smith and Keeping Dogs(and pets in general) has been something that’s always brought me the most joy and satisfaction, In my adult life I’ve always had rescue dogs myself, in recent years ive grown to really love greyhounds and lurchers, but i love all dogs the same really little and large, growing up my family mainly kept boxer dogs(and the odd mix breed) and in recent years iv’e also been volunteering as a dog fosterer for a local dog rescue(pendle dogs in need) whenever I’ve been able to in my spare time, I currently live with my small/medium lurcher jetson who is super friendly and easy going with all(inc. cats!) and i also have a little resident cat my betty, shes a pretty dog savvy little lady now and can cope with playful pestering from dogs(she even encourages it sometimes 🙂 )

I’ve spent the last couple of years Day dreaming in my factory job about the idea of starting up myself as a dog walker and also offering pet care services to cover most areas of pet keeping, Mainly because I’ve just grown very tired with working as an employee in a regular job that i get no real satisfaction from and want to just do something for a living that i love and can make a modest living out of if i work hard and do well.

Recently the company at which I’ve worked far the past 13 years suddenly went out of business and everybody there was made redundant with no notice, so not nice….. But it has given me the perfect opportunity to stop making excuses to my self and finally put all my effort and time into going it alone and setting myself up in the pet care business.

I don’t really have much in the way of savings etc.. and i have never owned a business before so its going to be very tough starting out, I am though getting some great help and advise from other pet care business owners that are already well established in the local dog walking and pet care scene,

So I’m just really hoping some lovely pet owners will put their faith in me to care for their furry family members and ill hopefully be able to prove my worth and earn your trust and gain a good reputation in the process.

Just cant wait to get my first bookings now 🙂

I aim to hopefully be able to cater for all pets(and their owners) and will do my very best to try and find ways to be able to help everybody no matter what your circumstances may be.
