Hi, my name is Louise and I run Barking Mad, Chesterfield across all areas of Chesterfield, South Sheffield,including Alfreton, Bolsover and Dronfield providing customer’s dogs with a holiday experience that they will enjoy while their owners are away. I understand that it can be a stressful experience for owners to be separated from their dog(s) while they go on holiday and this will increase if it is felt that the dog is not necessarily going to be happy. I am committed to matching each individual dog with a host that suits their needs and all my hosts are happy to look after the dog as they would be looked after at home. A full pet schedule is prepared so the host is aware of all the dog’s requirements including walking, feeding and likes and dislikes. This enables the dog to settle quickly into a new environment. Transport is also included within the service which means that there is one less thing to organise at the start and the end of the holiday.
I ensure that dogs are treated as individuals as they all have their own needs and personality and it is important that these are taken into account when providing their care. My hosts all have a lot of pet care experience but they don’t necessarily want to commit to the full time responsibility that having their own dog entails however they miss the companionship and exercise that having their own dog provides. They have 24 hours/7 days a week support should there be any problems. A photo is sent to owners following the dog arriving at the host’s home and a text the following day in relation to how the dog is settling in.
