Princess and the Pets is the newest and most bespoke pet care company in the South of London. We offer a range of services at competitive prices that are delivered to the highest standard, exactly what you would hope for when entrusting your beloved fur children in the hands of a pet carer. We are fully insured and come highly recommended by our existing clients.

Princess and the Pets came about after I, Lianne, started working as a animal care assistant for another pet services company. Due to the fact that the only natural progression for me was to set up my own pet services business I did exactly that. I came up with the name Princess and the Pets as I also work as a Disney Princess Party entertainer most weekends. I will do the majority of the pet care with my husband, Charlie, stepping in on the odd occasion. I aim to bring you pet sitting services that are completely required to yours and your pets needs.

I literally love all the pets I care for and walk. I enjoy learning about their strange quirks and bringing them a little happiness whilst they are away from their owners.

If you have any questions or would like to find out about how we can meet your specific requirements please get in contact.

We look forward to hearing from you!

A little bit about Charlie and myself. We are both freelance musicians who met whilst studying in Manchester. He plays the violin and I am an opera singer. In January this year we got our first cat, Cora, who has cerebellum hypoplasia meaning that her coordination and motor skills are not so good due to a problem in her brain. I have a special place in my heart for special needs pets. I have looked after diabetic cats, arthritic cats, and a deaf dog. I have also cared for disabled magpies.

I have completed a dog first aid course, am studying a course on animal care with the Animal Care College, am fully insured and have a full CRB.

As well as offering the basic services listed below we are happy to offer you a more bespoke service that would suit both you and your pet. For example: Charlie and I are both really into fitness so if your dog likes to run on part of their walk that is something we could certainly do, or if you have a moggie who is happy to venture out on a lead we would happily take them out for a walk. If your pet is particularly into music I am happy to sing to them or my husband can always do a quick tune on his fiddle. We are happy to look after any animal, in any way that you see fit!!

We come highly recommended by our existing clients and we happily display our clients testimonials. As we are a new business our client base is still quite small but we are making every effort to expand as we are so confident in the standard of the services we offer.

We are fully insured for: third party public liability, care custody and control of your pet, and loss of key cover. We keep your keys in a secure safe box, use tags with only the pets name on and our contact details to identify your keys.

In accordance with Croydon Council we walk a maximum of 4 dogs at any one time. We take our dogs to big parks so they can be let off the lead (providing we have your written permission) and our happy to venture out in all kinds of weather. We do not recommend subjecting dogs to walks in extreme weather (heat/storms/heavy snow) instead we would try and compensate your pooch with a home visit. Most of our walks happen around 11 am and 1 pm however we can walk at other times of the day to meet your needs. Our walks happen as soon as we get to the park, we don’t let transportation eat into your dogs walk. Home visits would happen either before or after the hours of 10 am and 3pm. We always carry pet specific first aid kits on all our walks and visits.

Make sure you know what you are paying for? You may be tempted to use a cheap dog walker you found on Gumtree but how much do you really know about them? We have gone to great lengths to ensure we can give you the best service at competitive rates. A lot of pet services companies are set up by individuals who have no qualifications in the animal sector. I am currently studying a level 3 course in Pet Sitting, Dog Walking, and Home Boarding (equivalent to A level) with the Animal Care College which is accredited by Laser Learning. The Animal Care College is also recognised by the Enhanced Learning Credits Organisation for Higher Education Level 3 courses for the Armed Forces’ and is a Preferred Educational Provider for the Kennel Club Accredited Instructors Scheme (KCAI). I have also completed a Dog First Aid Course and have already had hands on experience walking dogs.

We always insist on having a no obligation meeting with clients in their homes. These normally happen in the evenings. This gives you and us an opportunity to ask lots of relevant questions and to build up a professional rapport. Hopefully, if you feel we are right for you, the next step would be to book in a walk or pet sitting date :).
