Hi! My name’s Alyson and I own Al’s Creatures Great and Small. I started the business because I appreciate that with such busy lives, people need professional, reliable and fully-insured help to make sure their pets are looked after. I’m based in Ridgeway, just outside Sheffield, and I cover S12 and surrounding postcode areas.

I’ve had a lifelong love of animals and have been privileged to be the guardian for many, from fish through to guinea pigs, cats and horses. I’ve worked with various cat rescues for over 20 years and have a keen interest in animal welfare. I was brought up with dogs (mainly poodles) and a love of the outdoors, so this was the obvious career choice for me when I decided to escape the corporate world!

Cats are my real passion and I have Diplomas in Feline Studies and Feline Behaviour and Psychology. I also have BHS Stage 1 in Stable Management, so you can trust me to care for your bigger animals too.

Does your pet have special needs?
No problem – I’m happy to work with you for whatever’s needed.

Why is Al’s Creatures different to other services?
I understand that your pet is an important part of your life and that you know your pet better than anyone. I’m happy to work out a care plan to suit you and your pet so that you can go to work, for an evening out or on holiday knowing that he or she is being looked after for by a caring and responsible pet sitter.

I can walk your dog or just let him out for a comfort break, check up on your new puppy, care for your cats, feed your fish or birds or give your horse the once-over. I’m even brave enough to deal with reptiles! If you’re going away, I’m happy to check your house, turn lights on and off, bring in any mail and water plants.
