I re-homed my first dog over twenty years ago and since then I have always had dogs. Basil is the first I had as a puppy and he is now nearly three years old. He is well socialised and loves to play with other dogs.
When a dog is boarded with us they live in our house and are treated the same as my own dog. Three walks a day. One in the morning, one in the afternoon and then a short one just before bedtime. Lots of fuss and cuddles, regular brushing and playtime with my husband and myself in the garden or indoors when the weather is bad.
Dog walking can be on a regular basis or as a one off when you can’t.
Puppy visiting while they are young breaks the day up for them. Play, feed, refresh water and clean up any little accidents.
Look after cats and small pets in your home while you are away. Play, feed, water, clean cages, move post, etc.
