Hi,
My name’s Katie Hume. I am an animal lover and have had pets my whole life. I grew up with my first dog Suzie and my cat Melissa from the day I was born until I was sixteen. Along with cats and dogs I have had rabbits, mice, rats and guinea pigs. I now have four dogs, a fun loving mixture of cross breeds large and small and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I love coming home to an amazing welcome and a big snuggle from them after a long day. I had worked as an engineer since I left school and my job has always required travel, long days and over night stays. Being a lifelong pet owner I know how hard it can be to balance work, play, family and all the others demands of modern life with still giving your animals all the exercise, time and love they need.

I hated leaving my babies (dogs that is!) and often had to get a dog walker or sitter to help out with keeping them company and happy when I wasn’t there. After dreaming for many years about how great it would be working with animals, I have finally decided to make it a reality and Katie’s K9’s & friends was born.
