I offer a range of flexible dog walking and pet care services to suit your requirements, covering Lincoln and surrounding villages.
Family commitments, busy lifestyles, holidays, ill health… all these things can sometimes mean that you’re unable to fulfil your pet’s needs. Whether you need someone to walk your dog, provide some companionship or even take them to the vet, let me help!
I offer a range of pet care services consisting of the following, but note that I can tailor all services according to your requirements.
Since I can remember, I have been passionate about animals and their welfare. From a young age, my father nurtured my love of animals and with the help of our faithful dog Lucky, he taught me some basic skills in animal care and dog training. Throughout my childhood, my affinity with our canine friends became very strong and it was always very clear to me that one day I would work with animals. I am happy to say that ambition became a reality, and over the years animals have been an integral part of both my personal and professional life.
More specifically, I have worked with dogs for many years. I have listed some of my qualifications and work experience below, but if you have any questions, please do get in touch and Ill be more than happy to elaborate further.
1st Diploma in Animal Care
This is a one year full time course, focussing on animal welfare, how to identify issues and how best to handle them. It included everything from basic first aid, the handling and caring of small animals, dog walking, the different types of equipment required for dog walking, and so on.
DornTanza Gundog Training Kennels
I worked as a Kennel Hand for 18 months, during which time my responsibilities included walking groups of gundogs, assisting with heal and retrieval work and playing with boarding dogs. I also performed cleaning duties and helped with new litters of puppies.
Happy Tails Pet Services
I have been providing dog walking services for a few years and have achieved many happy clients, both of the human and canine variety! More recently, I have increased the services I offer.
Man’s Best Friend Rescue and Training Association
Mans Best Friend Rescue and Training Association is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing dogs in need. Part of their services include Group Session Training, Dog Training and Behavioural Consultations. I am a volunteer at the Whisby Garden Centre training venue in Lincoln, where I assist Sue and Mark with the obedience classes, teaching owners key skills in training their dogs to follow commands and help in developing a variety of skills.
I am also a member of the Mans Best Friend Agility Display Team. This is great fun and we train dogs for various displays, performing for local school and charity events.
