We have had several dogs to stay with us. It started off with Barney, the friendliest golden retriever you can imagine, who belonged to a friend of a friend and came to stay with us for two weeks.

After Barney stayed with us he had such a good time (came home cheerful and a happy chap) his owners recommended us to a few friends and since then we have gone on to enjoy looking after several dogs, as well as Barney on numerous occasions.

I have also worked on a farm (in Norway) for a month this summer which gave me experience with a range of animals.

Also from owning a horse, and helping to train race horses, I am accustomed to dealing with large, powerful animals and am aware of the level of responsibility that comes with such animals. Particularly dogs with bundles of energy!
