Hello,
My name is Zoe and I am the proud owner of Lady And The Hounds. I am fully insured, disclosure checked and certified in canine behaviour. I can guarantee that your pet will be in safe hands while under my care.

As a child one of my most memorable experiences with animals was being out with my Grandpa and his Labradors. He taught me how to really bond with your dog and how that bond can become something quite remarkable. Learning this at a very young age and seeing the outcome of a man and dog in a working environment is something that I strived for and from then my love for dogs really began to flourish.

I was very fortunate to soon after get my first dog, Cooper. An 8 week old Beagle pup. I vividly remember taking him out walks and being told by passersby that I would have my “work cut out” or “good luck with him”. Now if you know dogs, you will know that beagles in particular have a little bit of a reputation for self-employing themselves in life and quite frankly forgetting your existence, unless of course you have something edible then they are willing to do just about anything! … But together with a lot of time Cooper taught me just how intelligent dogs actually are, regardless of their breed. Driving me to learn deeper into how their amazing brains work.

I have been lucky in having a hands on experience, with not only dogs but a wide variety of animals. I have shared my life with cats, rabbits, horses, goats, birds and even a tortoise. Each and every one of them teaching me and expanding my already growing knowledge. By the age of 15 I was engaged and motivated in assuring my pets had the best possible life. During my high school years my love for animals remained as I would walk neighbours dogs at the weekend alongside completing my diploma in canine psychology. I left school and bagged myself my first ‘proper’ job working at the local kennel and cattery. I was one of the team who took care of the welfare of all the boarded animals on a day-to-day basis ensuring each of them were treated accordingly and loved until their owners returned.

My whole life has revolved around all types of animals and my most recent role was working for a Stirlingshire dog walker, where I gained valuable skills on how to successfully run as a pet service provider. Thanks to this I am now able to apply my knowledge into opening Lady And The Hounds!
