Welcome to Dedicated to Dogs, I set up this company to provide a variety of services to dogs and their owners. I currently offer; dog walking, house sitting, behavioural consultations and dog training, both one-to-one and in a class setting.

Firstly, what makes me different from all the other dog professionals out there? I have owned dogs and other animals all my life. My childhood was spent at the stables messing around with the horses, dogs, chickens, sheep and other animals. Throughout my life I have owned and cared for a number of animals including dogs, cats, small furries, horses, sheep, cows, chickens and a variety of exotics. This means I am more than happy to pet sit for any animals.

I knew I wanted to work with animals and, when the time came, I decided to study Animal Behaviour and Welfare at University. I graduated in 2012 and, since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge. I am trained in both canine and feline nutrition and registered as a Specially Qualified Person with AMTRA which means I can dispense certain medicines for companion pets. I am also a member of the National Association of Dogs Walkers and Pet Sitters and I regularly attend canine seminars. Currently, I am working towards becoming a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor. I have an up to date CRB check, a canine first aid certificate and am fully insured.

I have a Border Collie called Hope, she is my pride and joy. We train at least twice a week and completed the Kennel Club Good Citizenship Gold award in 2015. We now work on general obedience and trick training. In addition, we regularly attend events and seminars, including Scentwork, TTouch, Hydrotherapy and Treibball along with other activates.

All this means I have an in depth knowledge of dogs, their behaviours and habits. I am able to pre-empt situations to prevent anything escalating, as well as helping owners understand their dog’s behaviour to stop any embarrassing and annoying habits.
